The Labdoor precision rankings for CBD Vapes take into account label accuracy along with common contaminants including heavy metals, vitamin E and THC. Among other concerns, 2 of the 6 products tested in this category exceeded the Food and Drug Administrations THC limit.
Three of the six products tested failed purity testing standards
The purity component took into account vitamin E contamination, heavy metals load, and THC concentration.
One product, Koi Spectrum, exceeded the Bureau of Cannibis Control limit on mercury contamination and two other products, Medix and CBDistrillery, exceeded THC limitations set by the Food and Drug Administration.
With half of the category raising red flags when it comes to purity make sure to check the data before making your next purchase.
Label accuracy was a significant problem with this group of CBD vapes
- None of the products scored full points when it came to label accuracy.
- Testing showed that half of the products fell short of their CBD label claims while the other half exceeded their claims.
- The largest discrepancies were recorded by HempBombs (79% less CBD than claimed) and Medix (116% more CBD than claimed). On average, products recorded 28% more CBD than claimed.
Given the variation in CBD amounts along with the purity concerns noted above quality control may be an issue with this category. So the next time you’re purchasing a CBD vape make sure to check Labdoor Precision Rankings or ask the supplier for a certificate of analysis.
